DJ Tolo & Silk developed a huge following because of their capabilities to play a wide variety of music from different genres. Being Brooklyn based, it's the perfect melting pot, like a pot of "pelau" because of the many walks of life ranging from Caribbeans, Africans, Indians and Spanish, etc.

DJ Tolo & Silk have been embraced by the Soca community and can often be seen djing for mature patrons. With a successful DJ career, they started hosting their own events and hiring big time entertainers. They have their annual summer boatride, which started in 1997 and now their very popular Christmas Parang party. Some of the big time entertainers they have hired for their events include artists like: Scrunter, Crazy, Kenny J (deceased) Marcia Miranda, Jason Benn & Pelf, Bunji Garlin, Shammi, Preacher, King Ajamo, Oscar B, Rodger George, Denise Belfon, General Grant, Nyah George, Poser, Rikki Jai, just to name a few.

It all began in 1992, when DJ Tolo (the father) bought his first pair of turntables and started entertaining the family. Two years later, Silk (the son) followed in his father's footsteps and started playing music for family gatherings which consisted of backyard and basement parties. Later on, the djing experience expanded to popular night clubs such as: The Graham Resort, Club Carnival, Club Higher & Higher, The Base, Club Carib, Callaloo and Aristocrat Manor, to name a few.

"He's Smooth Like Silk"

A smooth operator on the ones and twos. Inspired by his father Tolo, Silk started playing music two years after his dad started playing which began in 1994. It didn't take long for him to develop his own style of mixing because of the crew that hung around him listening to the way he played, saying, "this boy plays smooth, he's smooth like silk." That's how he adapted the DJ name "SILK."

Silk is a proud Trinidadian, husband and father. He's also a disc jockey, sound system engineer, dubplate and mixtape specialist.

DJ Shaq

DJ Shaq has been in the music industry since 1996, being only 7 years old. Music is his life and passion, inspired by his father known as DJ Tolo.

He started out in the heart of Brooklyn, with humble beginnings playing music in his parents' living room to now being a headliner at iconic Night Clubs, and other social gatherings. He is able to play a variety of genres, but is mostly known for his curation of Soca music.
